THE DESCENT · swim · shoot · survive seven chapters of reef
Torpedo Fish is played in landscape, with both thumbs.
Turn the phone sideways — the game resumes as soon as you do.
You are a small orange fish with a torpedo cannon on your back. Survive endless waves, grow between rounds with rogue-lite upgrades, and beat the bosses every 5th wave. Waves arrive in squads: chasers, zones, swarms and minefields each demand a different decision.
Touch: left half = move joystick, right half = aim joystick (auto-fire), bottom-right buttons = dash / salvo / sonar.
Gamepad: left stick swim, right stick aim, RT/X fire, A dash, B salvo, Y sonar, Start pause.
Tips: every enemy attack is telegraphed — wait for the flash, then dash. Pearls buy card rerolls. Kill fast for combo multipliers. Grab glowing power-ups.
Skill: dash straight through an attack for PERFECT DODGE (slow-mo, +50% damage for 3s, more ultimate). Shoot down ink blobs, spikes and zap orbs for interception points. Point-blank hits deal up to +60% damage. Getting hit drops your combo one tier instead of resetting it.
Explosion currents: every blast pushes water. Enemies shoved into each other, into mines or into the reef take impact damage and can chain — herd sharks away, throw swarms onto mines, or ride the current with a dash. Tsunami Torpedo doubles the push, Undertow pulls enemies together, Crush Depth doubles impact damage.
Synergies: certain upgrades combine (Piercing + Chain Lightning = STORM LANCE, Explosions + Ricochet = PINBALL, Homing + Extra Torpedoes = SWARM, Lifesteal + Point Blank = FEEDING FRENZY, Orbitals + Booms = BUBBLE BOMBS, Crit + Fire Rate = OVERDRIVE). Cards that complete one are marked with a star.
The Descent (campaign): seven chapters, five waves each — wave 3 is a mini-boss, wave 5 is the chapter boss. Bosses have phases at 66% and 33% health (the Heart has five), every attack is telegraphed with cones, rings, marks or wall gaps, and glowing weak points take double damage: tear one out and the boss staggers, loses an attack, and armour bosses stop blocking frontal hits. Shoot the seams and the rear. Each chapter boss lets you evolve the fish (permanent body changes that stack with cards), the chapter is banked as a checkpoint for Continue Campaign, and finishing all seven unlocks New Game+, Boss Rush and Endless.
The reef waits for you.
